A 32-year-old man is waiting for news about him saving a stranger's life.
Dave Newman donated vital bone marrow to a woman who was had serious complications. Newman is recovering at home in Brighton.
When the young man realized that he can sign up as a bone marrow donor, police officer Newman was already regularly giving blood.
He kept donating blood and thought that this was it, but received a text message stating that he must get in contact with a particular person.
He was informed that he was a bone marrow match for the lady and would he be interested to help.
