J. Craig Venter, who is a scientific maverick, has announced plans this week regarding a "biological teleporter", which is to be sent to Mars, as per a recent report. He is aiming to look for life on the red planet.
Venter is esteemed for he has helped in human genome sequencing. As per the findings, he is of the belief that Mars is full of life. Therefore, he is seeking to determine Martian DNA and for the same to be sent back to Earth, the teleporter is being transported.
A conference was being held in New York, where he said that the alien genome, if achieved, can be reassembled successfully in a space lab, extra-protected. However, he is not the only person to plan such a thing. It has been found that Ion Torrent, founder of the genome sequencing company, is also considering the same i. e. Martian DNA sequencing.
It has been told that he has even been working with MIT and Harvard in order to modify the personal genome machine of the company. The aim is to send it to Mars as SET-G's (the search for extraterrestrial genomes) part, a NASA-funded project.
"People are worried about the Andromeda strain. We can rebuild the Martians in a P-4 spacesuit lab instead of having them land in the ocean", Venter affirmed.
As per a new release, Physicists in Switzerland claim to have created the smallest of drops of liquid. The scientists believe that the droplets would be able to lead to the further understanding of collective behavior. The short-lived droplet is equivalent to 100,000th the size of a hydrogen atom and about the size of three to five protons....
