Strict step taken against Algerian for insulting French flag

750 Euros (£637; $984) were fined on Abderrahmane Saidi, by a French court for insulting the national flag. He snatched the French flag and made two pieces of it during an argument at local govt. office with a clerk. He is also punished to attend the citizenship classes.

On Tuesday, Saidi tried to hit two police officers who tried to controlled him when threw a broken pole on the clerk’s window. All this happened because of some bureaucratic delay. The suit against him was made by The Alpes-Maritimes regional authority, police and the clerk for his behavior.

The law for punishment for insulting flag was introduced in July when a French flag was insulted by a man in a public event. In March, an offending picture won a prize in a photo contest. In the picture a man was wiping his bottom with the flag.

Serious punishments are given regarding this type of act. To stop further incident regarding to the matter related to insulting national flag. Govt. is taking strict steps to stop all this.
