Those who desire can still possess Google's Nexus, which was stopped being offered by the Company through its online store last month.
The unlocked Nexus One will now be handed to the developers at $530 for accessing it on wireless carrier.
Earlier, the phone launched on T-Mobile network and designed by HTC was available online only and was sold not even through the locations of T-Mobile retail. Its online selling was halted, as Google didn't get much response from the web stores. So, it started selling Nexus through retail stores like I wireless, a T-mobile associate and 250 other stores mostly in the Midwest. No further retail dealerships were made by the Company.
But, the situation has been eased for the Nexus seekers. Those who wish to own this phone can go to the website of "Development Phones" and make their purchase. But before that, one must have an Android developer account to click on the link.
The Nexus One embedded with Android 2.1 will now be distributed by the developers and the upgraded model with Android 2.2 Froyo would also be coming soon.
As the official developer phone for Android, T-Mobile HTC G1 costing $400 will be substituted by Nexus One, which is far expensive than the former, but still a desired smartphone by many.
