Mr. Wong Appreciates Singaporeans’ Collective Spirit, Launches Own Website

The collective strength and spirit, which joins Singaporeans as one State, has helped the country weather difficulties, said Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister, Wong Kan Seng. The Singapore Government had taken serious steps for the country to come out of its economic blizzard, and that is why it has today been able to strongly return back.

This message was given by Mr. Wong at the National Day Dinner in Bishan on Saturday to all the residents of the country. He also added that these bonds between the citizens will help them to pass through many difficulties in future. Mr. Wong is also making efforts to help people engage with him, through his personal website.

Other ministers like Foreign Minister George Yeo, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan and Manpower Minister Gan Kim Yong do have their blogs and Facebook accounts, but Mr. Wong is the first minister in the country to have initiated a website of his own, called www. wongkanseng. sg.

This website will allow people to contact him through any of the social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, or people can also directly send him messages. The website will give updates of the activities going on in the estate also.
