Europe’s largest natural gas operator, GDF Suez SA submitted its report, informing that in the first half of the year, it saw an increase of 9.3%, which was boosted by a cold winter in France and positive investment on power projects.
Net profit jumped up to 3.6 billion Euros, as informed by the Paris based firm while giving a statement.
As per some market analysts who had been surveyed by Bloomberg, this beat the estimated 3.2 billion Euros.
Proceeds prior to interest, tax, depreciation and amortization jumped up by 4.3% to 8.2 billion Euros.
GDF Suez has predicted that measure of earning profits will see an increase by no less than 15% in the next year to almost 16 billion Euros from 14 billion Euros in the year 2009.
Gerard Mestrallet, Chief Executive Officer previously this year slashed his prediction for 2011 proceeds development since demand for natural gas might not be able to cover up as fast as have been anticipated, which is mainly due to the slump seen in economic platform and an acute plunge in demand.
A market analyst said that good demand expansion in Europe might assist GDF Suez.
