Rafael still believes Federer is the best

While Nadal failed to prove his mettle on the cement grounds but the world champion has recently bagged the first US open title and has become the youngest man in the modern era to complete the grand slam circle.

In fact, many experts have once again gone down to the debate of who is the best among the two – Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal but Nadal has insisted that Federer is still the best we have.

However, experts are of a view that if the dream run for Nadal continues for the coming tournaments as well, Federer may not end as the best player of this decade. While the elite group that Nadal has just joined has just seven names in total including names like Britain’s Fred Perry, Australia’s Rod Laver and Roy Emerson, US’ Andre Aggasi and Switzerland’s Roger Federer.

While it is still a heartbreak for many fans as Nadal did not play Federer in the finals but Federer completed his grand slam circle at 27 and Nadal has done it in 24. Clearly, Federer may be known as the second best player after Nadal in this decade if Nadal continues to bag more titles.
