According to a judge in Pennsylvania, a 16-year-old injured wrestler must have spinal surgery but his parents don't want him to go through that.
The wrestler's custody was handed over to Delaware County on the grounds that the "safety and well-being of the child is at risk" as his parents are of belief that he could easily be treated with natural healing and herbal remedies.
Mitchell appeared on a show named "Good Day" and stated that she has submitted a video as an evidence of the current condition of her son and he did not need to go through the surgery.
"It could actually cause paralysis," Mitchell said in the interview. "There are alternatives."
After the judge told Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia about its decision, Mitchell immediately contacted the news to inform.
Now the discretion lies with the hospital about when and where this operation should be performed.
Philadelphia Attorney Michael Nix was representing the Mitchells and when he was contacted on Wednesday, she explained that the family was expecting to have another doctor at the court.
Declining to comment any further, he said, "We're working on that as we speak".
