Teenagers are Now Media Addicts

In a recent study, it has been revealed that when teenagers are deprived from their new found loves like television and internet and their cell phones, they turn to a number of reactions like isolation, confusion as well as distress.

These were the results of the research that was conducted on a number of students from different countries.

The teens were of the view that they felt symptoms like ‘itching’ that is a sensation similar to what drug addicts feels when they are deprived of their doses.

It was further found that some teens also felt the urge similar to bulimia that would later lead them to binge on their deprived activities.

The study was conducted on students from the age 17-23 years. According to the research, they were banned from using social networking sites and internet and television and their cell phones.

This experiment was conducted for a period of 24 hours and the results made it clear that the generation is so addicted to these things that they cannot live without them. Many were of the view that media is their drug and they absolutely cannot do without them.
