According to the reports of WPP Plc, Apple Inc., which is known as the maker of the iPhone, iPad and iMac, aiming to become the world’s most valuable brand has overtook the popular search-engine giant Google Inc.

As confirmed by WPP’s Millward Brown unit, last year, the brand value of Apple was noted as $153.3 billion which was 84% up, whereas Google after being ranked atop for four continuous years lost 2% dropping to $111.5 billion. At the same time, International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) standing ahead McDonald’s Corp. (MCD) climbed around 17% and achieved the No. 3 position.

In this regard, Millward Brown Chief Executive Officer, Eileen Campbell wrote in the report “It’s clear that every single Apple employee, from Steve Jobs and Tim Cook to the summer interns, see protecting and nurturing that brand as a top priority. Tablet computing also drove value growth not just for Apple, but also for the providers who support yet another networked device”.

With the introduction of latest iPhone, iPad tablet and iMac versions, Cupertino which California based Apple has been able to almost double the sales. Along with this, the profit in comparison to that of the last quarter has also been doubled.
