Another Remarkable Walk with the Dragon

On Sunday, it was reported that around 13,000 people participated in the Walk with the Dragon. This walk was around seven kilometer and took place at Lumbermen's Arch at Stanley Park. This walk was actually an annual fundraising event, which was organized by the S. U. C. C. E. S. S. Foundation, a non-profit social services provider for immigrants and refugees.

CEO of S. U. C. C. E. S. S. Foundation, Clarence Cheng has reported that with the help of this fund raising event, they have raised an amount of $450,000 whereas their target was just $30,000.

After the seven-kilometer walk, people hung around and enjoyed the stalls, which were offering freebies and food. There was music and many games to play. Sisters Harsimran, 16 and Gurnaz, 11 have told that this was their first time this year and they have enjoyed a lot.

"Today marks the 26th anniversary of S. U. C. C. E. S. S. Walk with the Dragon. The success of this meaningful event is a testament of continued support and long-time dedication from our donors, sponsors, volunteers and staff," says Maggie Ip, Chairperson of S. U. C. C. E. S. S Foundation.

Walk with the Dragon has started in the year of 1986 and from the last 25 years this fundraising event has raised more than $10-million for programs in the Metro Vancouver area.
