Weight loss in obese men suffering from diabetes can result into the revival of their sex lives, a study claims.

Obesity and diabetes can control the functioning of penis and urinary system due to mutation in blood flow, hormone levels and inflammation. The change in blood vessels leads to difficulty in erection, low libido, infertility, also, problems with urination occurs.

The study reveals that 5% to 10% of total body weight loss can result into easing of erectile dysfunction and can improve the sexual activity or desire within eight weeks. The experts have notified that out of 17 men who were the victims of severe erectile dysfunction, seven of them reported improvement in the symptoms after the period of eight weeks. Also, after a year, 25 % of them reported normal erectile function.

Moreover, it was revealed that with the reduction of weight inflammation problem reduces and testosterone increases.

Ohio Cleveland Clinic Center for Genitourinary Reconstruction MD Drogo Montague stated, “We have an epidemic of obesity in our society and we’re seeing this more and more and more. I’ve seen patients who have had dramatic reversal of loss of libido and poor erections through weight loss”.
