Asia Being Trapped by Avian Flu

The United Nations has issued a warning saying that the avian flu is significantly spreading in Asia. The flu has already taking its toll in Vietnam and China. After Vietnam countries like Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand are at the risk of coming in contact with the flu.

Since its outbreak in Asia, about 331 people have died. After the spread of flu in 2003, it was eliminated from about 63 countries. However, there are still some countries which are grappling with the flu, these countries include China, Vietnam, Indian and Bangladesh.

Although some countries were able to control the spread of heinous flu, since 2008, the flu has again taken an offensive stance and is affecting many lives. It has been reported that the avian flu has encroached poultry since last couple of years.

It is believed that the flu will spread from Vietnam to Japan and South Korea. It has been unveiled that with the pursuit of eliminating the strains of flu from the country, the Korean Government initiated culling of chickens. The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations is urging countries to take strict steps to fight the spread of flu.
