N. Ont Medical School Dean Given Order of Australia

Latest reports have confirmed that Australia will soon be honoring the Dean of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

It has been informed by the Government that Australia is soon going to name Dr. Roger Strasser to the “Order of Australia”, which is one of Australia’s most prestigious and highest civilian honors. As part of the proceedings, Strasser will be given an appointment on Tuesday from the Acting High Commissioner of Australia, Bruce Soar.

In this regard, NOSM has recently made a press release, claiming that Strasser will be honoured with the title for his extraordinary and dedicated services in the field of medicines by the means of which, he helped in making better the health care services being provided to people residing in rural and remote areas and communities of both the developing as well as the well-developed nations. He has devoted the major portion of his life for helping those in need, by playing different characters with extreme dedication, devotion and divines. He has served as an educator, practitioner, and researcher as well.

Earlier in 2002, Strasser was found the best-fit for holding the position of dean, mainly with special intentions of establishing Canada’s newest medical school over a period of three decades. NOSM was established as a mutual inventiveness of Thunder Bay’s Lakehead University and Sudbury’s Laurentian University. It has a beautifully built, state-of-the-art infrastructure having two main campuses, which are around 1,200 kilometers spaced out.

Dr. Roger Strasser, the Dean of Northern Ontario School of Medicine will be honored with an “Order of Australia” award during a special ceremony scheduled to be organized at the medical school at around 3:30 pm on December
20.

In all probability, Dr. Roger Strasser will be honored with the award by the acting high commissioner of the Australia High Commission (AHC), Bruce Soar.

The Order of Australia identifies the accomplishment and service of high importance carried out voluntarily by any of the citizens of Australia, and the deserving candidates are recognized with nominations proffered straight from the community.
