The rising gas prices have put a lot of burden on people in the Green Bay area. The prices increasing continuously are now at 36.2 cents a gallon higher than one year ago and 37.9 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. The average price of gasoline in the area is $3.94 a gallon, which is higher than the national average of $3.86 a gallon.

Senior petroleum analyst of Gasbuddy. com, Patrick Dehaan, categorically mentioned that there has been a continuous increase in gas prices for 21 days. He also stated that people should expect more gradual increase which is common in the month of April. Michigan, on the other hand, has seen some respite with prices not fluctuating in any direction in the past week. The average price of gasoline in Michigan is stable at $3.95 a gallon.

Tom Kloza, publisher and chief oil analyst at Oil Price Information Service said that because of closure of Sunoco refinery in Philadelphia, the supply of gasoline to East coast has tightened which might force the prices to touch the previous record. The rising prices are a troubling sign and with coming of April, in which prices usually go higher people won’t get much respite from it.
