Darien Students Extend Support for Daffodil Days Fundraiser

It seems that the American Cancer Society’s annual Daffodil Days fundraiser has got the well deserving attention of Darien kids, as they are seen showing great response to the event which would help those who are battling with cancer. The daffodils though remain green in colour; they burst into bright yellow flowers within a day when they are placed in water.

In order to do their bit, Ox Ridge second-graders Valentina Cuccolo and Michael Latham were seen handing over daffodils to their teacher, thereby ensuring that all those who are directly or indirectly affected by cancer are being helped in some way.

Nancy McKean Clifford, who is a Former Middlesex Middle School computer teacher, has been given the duty of school’s local daffodil drive organizer, and she is doing all in her capacity to ensure that the noble cause is being given maximum response.

All those who want to do their part can buy Daffodils at the downtown Co-op and the Real Canadian Superstore, from today until next Thursday, and even they would be available at Daffodil Mountain in the Prairie Mall.

It has become all the more imperative for people to come forward to be part of the event so that maximum funds can be generated for the cancer patients.
