Warning Launched against Fatal Cheese

Moonstruck Organic Cheese manufacturing company warned people not to eat the Tomme d’Or cheese, as they fear it may be contaminated with deadly Listeria bacteria.

The incident happened in the Saltspring Island.

Fear is this bacterium can cause severe illness, and in some cases it may even lead to death in elderly people and those with weak immunity or prevailing health issues.

The Center for Disease Control also clarified stating other products produced by the company are not affected by this bacterium and hence it’s safe for consumption.

After this incident, Moonstruck organic is cooperating with authorities for investigation and has also advised the people to either throw the contaminated cheese or return it back to the store.

Till date no cases of illness have been reported due to the consumption of Tomme d’Or cheese. However if anyone gets infected to Listeria disease by eating the contaminated food the disease can be cured with antibiotics.

Symptoms for the disease include fever, diarrhea, muscle aches and headaches which can always lead to a fatal one.

Pregnant women, seniors and newborns have to be more cautious to this infection as it can prove fatal for them. So without any second thought one should stop eating this kind of cheese.
