A new study is revealing that Vitamin B can help people recall their bizarre dreams next morning they wake.
Theories doubt that people even see 4-6 dreams a night but usually they do not remember any of them the next morning. To improve this memory regarding the dreams, researchers initially also claimed that vitamin B-6 (majorly found in meats, whole grains, vegetables, nuts and bananas) can help them sharpen their memory and recollect all the lost dreams but these findings were based on only theories and no concrete study was made.
In the recently ran study, researchers studied 12 university students and their behavior, whom they gave different amounts of the vitamin for five days to see the respective results in all. All the participants were divided into three groups of four students, each and every group was given a different dose of the vitamin with first group receiving 100 milligrams, second group taking 250 milligrams and the third one was given a placebo.
Researchers noticed that the group that was given the heaviest dose of the vitamin B-6 showed a higher rate of dream salience with respect to all features whether vividness, bizareness, emotionality, or color, confirms the report.
Researchers are claiming that the vitamin upon entering the blood starts converting amino acids into serotonin, which immediately starts waking up the brain even during the Rapid Eye Movement sleep, a stage of sleeping when the person sees the most vivid dreams enabling him to recall all his lost dreams as well.
But higher doses of vitamin are still not recommended as they can cause insomnia, heart palpitations, cramps, high blood pressure, and panic attacks that won’t even allow patient to enjoy a calm sleep.
