It has been recently revealed in a report that it’s the 10 anniversary of the Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the cure. The organizers are of the view that they might see more entries this year, and they hope of raising a huge sum of $400, 000 for the support of cancer study and research in the time to come.

As of now, there have been 4000 people registered for the event already. “Right now it’s a smidgen lower than it was last year at this time. But a lot of people wait to see what the weather is supposed to be like. It’s supposed to be a gorgeous day”, said Chris Pearson, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Mid-Michigan.

They are of the hope that more and more people would join this drive and make things work for the people in need. It might help raise more funds for the cancer sufferers and they shall be given better opportunities for treatment and cure in the time to come. This shall help the research field as well and help in the development of a proper cure for the disease in the time to come.

The goal of the fundraisers this year is to reach $400, 000 for the people in need for help. It remains to be seen how many more people join in the drive and whether or not, they are able to achieve what they have set for in the near future. There is need for more awareness to be spread in this regard so that more and more people join in and contribute their bit towards the noble cause in the near future.
