As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a public notice campaign has been launched by Heartland Institute over climate change to administer support from public and also to convince them over the issue that global warming is the reason behind climatic changes, despite a revolting debate going on the issue of climate change.
It has been discovered that an electronic billboard along the Eisenhower Expressway outside Chicago, the Heartland Institute’s home, stated that they still believe in global warming, however, does the public believe in it?
It has been notified that the billboard was switched on till Thursday afternoon, however, it has been reported that by 4 p. m. by Heartland Institute’s President, Joe Bast stated that he would switch off the billboard within an hour.
He said, “This was a risk when deciding to test it, but decided it was a necessary price to make an emotional appeal to people who otherwise aren’t following the climate change debate”.
However, it has been reported that the ad campaign was majorly opposed. In a statement from Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-Wis.), it was affirmed that he will not be a part of upcoming climate-change conference, if the institute did not put off its advertisement.
