It has been recently revealed that a cat from Susquehanna County has been tested positive for rabies. It has been a case of such kind seen after a long time. It was see that even a human was exposed to this rabid cat, and now there is need for efforts to be made for the prevention the person catching the ailment in the time to come.

"We had a couple bats. We can’t' take the chance whether a bat has bit somebody or something because the bite is so small. So we have them tested”, said James J. Devald, county environmental health director.

There is need for a search operation to be one to find out if there are any more rabid animals in the vicinity and whether they pose a threat to the humans. There is dire need for efforts to be made for preventing the same in the time to come.

This is going to be a tough task but would at least make sure that people are safe from the risk of the disease in the future. There is need for proper vaccination measures to be followed if there is need for the same in the time to come.
