While keeping body hydrated is always recommended, it has been claimed that fluid intake can be increased with other fluids too. There is no need to drink plane water all the time and including of tea, coffee, juices etc can also suffice the purpose.

"We need to maintain fluid balance and should drink water, but also consider fluid in unprocessed fruits and vegetables and juices”, said Spero Tsindos from La Trobe University. There is no doubt that one need about two litres of fluids daily, but it should be kept in mind that water in other forms can also be as beneficial for keeping the body hydrated. There is need that other forms of water are also included in daily life so that balanced nutrition can be gained.

While many of us are living under the impression that eight glasses of water a day is a must but it was Australian nutritionist Spero Tsindos, at La Trobe University in Melbourne, who claimed that such recommendation is actually over the top.

There is need for one and all to understand what’s best for them instead of following every single random advice. It’s always better to maintain a balanced diet and drinking habits so that one can stay healthy for a long time.
