Veterinarians Confirm Two-Week-Old Baby Dolphin Born at Chicago’s Aquarium is Ma

As per reports, it has been revealed that two weeks ago a baby dolphin was born at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. Veterinarians have suggested that the baby dolphin is a male.

It has been revealed that the gender of the baby was estimated by the aquarium’s animal care and health team only by a visual observation.

Further, aquarium officials affirmed that the mother, Piquet (pee-KEHT), of the calf is taking proper care of it and both the baby and the mother swim together.

Latest reports from the officials suggest that the baby has started nursing since the last week. Moreover, they notified that the baby has started gaining weight.

Shedd’s animal experts have proposed that the present weight of the baby is 30 pounds, which is 5 pounds, more than he weighed when he was born on May 28.

However, veterinarians have asserted that they will keep the baby and the mother dolphin still off exhibit for4 a few more weeks, so as to keep a watch on them and also to take care of them.

The Shedd Aquarium said, “We today revealed the two-week old Pacific white-sided dolphin calf photographs. He was born on Memorial Day and is gaining weight and surpassing developmental milestones”.
