As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a large number of people are calling out so that a ban can be imposed on ultrasounds, used to administer the gender of fetuses.
It has been reported that CBC News carried out a secret investigation to acknowledge as to how many health care centers and private clinics are still doing ultrasound testing.
The reports of the investigation published this Tuesday uncovered that truth behind private ultrasound clinics in B. C., claiming that these clinics help parents to determine the gender of the fetuses and if it is a girl, they are always ready to suggest the woman that she can undergo an abortion.
The agency reported that they had placed hidden cameras across different clinics in Canada during their visits and they discovered that out of 22 facilities, 15 were ready to perform ultrasound examination during the early weeks of pregnancy.
"I'm very, very upset about this happening in a country like Canada. Parents are using the ultrasounds and aborting if it's a girl, because males carry the family name and females need an expensive dowry", said Dr. Pargat Singh Bhurji, a Surrey, B. C., pediatrician
Dr. Bhurji affirmed that instead of using the technology for betterment of the unborn baby, it is used to kill them.
