HIV is majorly troubling all nations around the world and in an effort to immediately stop it from spreading, a strong call has recently come from United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, who has requested all the governments around the world to recommit their support and fight strongly to end new HIV infections.
Ministers are also aiming to set a downward trend on poverty to settle things.
In context to same, another appeal has come from Zambia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Sheila Mweemba for donor agencies urging them to lend best funding for HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
First secretary for press at the Permanent Mission of Zambia to the UN Chibaula Silwamba in his statement of this week cleared that the minister’s fight is to cut the new HIV infections by one million by the year 2015.
Mr. Ban addressed several facts regarding the issue to the delegates in the UN General Assembly Hall in New York this week. He highlighted the worst hit number of HIV at 5 million and warned that 3,000 more are getting infected daily.
