Scientists Create Robot, who Mimics Infants' Word Learning

In a recent discovery, England researchers have revealed about their newest creation, a 3-foot tall robot, who they say can grasp the words quickly by conversing with a human and can, put them all in his memory and learning them in few minutes only.

The above creation is an attempt of researchers to easily replicate all the early experiences of infants. With their creation named DeeChee, researchers aim to learn the ways of babies transitioning their babble talks to speaking their first words more clearly.

Above findings and the research work has been published in the journal PLoS One of this week. Though researchers aimed to produce syllable in the English language, robot knew only babble phrases and no words at the outset of the study.

Starting the course, a volunteer taught the robot some simple words for shapes and colors in his regular speech. DeeChee, as was programmed, broke up the unsegmented stream into individual syllables and store them respectively in its memory.
