In its new launch of iOS 6, Apple has added a new feature i. e. push notification-support that would allow for government alerts, says a recent report.
As per the findings, the new built-in Settings app with the “Notifications” section would raise alerts during an emergency. It has been told by the company that users would get a notification on their iDevice immediately.
However, during mid-2005, the push feature was started on the iPhone, but its failure due to the need for downloading podcasts, made Apple to reject it.
The section of Notifications in iOS 6 beta 1 contains a toggle for “AMBER Alerts” and the other one is meant for “Emergency Alerts”.
While the former is aimed to aware people when a kidnapping case of a child happens, the iDownloadBlog reveals. The latter i. e. Emergency Alerts would run so as to alarm users about a flood or cyclone-like weather events.
Though, the decision for the introduction of this amazing feature has been taken, it has been found that all iDevice users in the US would not be benefitted with the same. The report says that only some regions would be able to avail the benefits.
The aim of the company behind inclusion of the two things in a single application is to ensure ease and simplicity to users.
