Sleep Deprivation Instigates Obesity

While there is no doubt that lack of sleep does no good for anyone, a recent research claimed that it can also make one fat. It is believed that inculcating such habits in lifestyle would make one victim of unhealthy snacking at odd hours of day, thereby making it all the more risky for one and all. Commissioned by Nutrition Company, Herbalife, the study has shed light on the side effects of lack of sleep, which is slowly gripping day to day life of people.

"Sleep deprivation enhances neuronal activity in certain areas of the brain linked to our innate reward system”, said Miguel Toribio-Mateas, chairman of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy. It is also believed that lack of sleep can also affect glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, thereby escalating problems.

In terms of unhealthy snacking, Britain is leading the charts, followed by Italy, Germany and Spain, France. There is need for people to understand the severity of such eating habits which some or other way will affect their health in the time to come.

It is to be noted that breakfast is the most essential meal of all the meals, and that’s what kicks a person for the day. There is need for people to pay attention to their body call before things become all the more complicated for them.
