Swine Flu Claimed 15 Times more Lives than Registered with the WHO

In a shocking revelation, it has been revealed that swine flu claimed 15 times more lives that being revealed by laboratory tests in 2009. An international study, which has found a place in the British journal Lancet Infectious Diseases, has revealed that the total number would have been somewhere round 579,000.

If the total number, being registered with the World Health Organization is known and is compared with the same then it will be quite shocking to know the total difference. In total, 18,500 lives have gone, as per the WHO. However, the study has revealed some other truth, all together.

It is not that the WHO knew about more deaths and wanted to show fewer numbers. The WHO was also shocked to see such a meager number, and expressed that time that there must be more people, who have lost lives due to the same.

Dr. Fatimah Dawood, from the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and lead researcher of the study, said, “Our results also suggest how best to deploy resources. If a vaccine were to become available, we need to make sure it reached the areas”.

There are a lot many contributors in increasing the total number. Not only had the authorities’ concerned, but even general population as well.
