After it was revealed that Kleenex-brand Luxury Foam Hand Sanitizer has been tested positive for microbial contamination, the company has been recalling the product. It should be noted that the contamination has been found in the packing of 1 litre as well as of 1.2 litre bottles.

Company officials were of the view that there might be 430 containers, which have been affected and were sold in Canada. The bacterium which has affected the hand sanitizer is Burkholderia cepacia and can be commonly found in wet mud as well as in vegetation.

Experts were of the view that people, who have used the product, should immediately contact doctors, as it can cause severe infection and can even cause problem to internal body part and can cause blood infection and in severe cases, it can cause pneumonia and high fever. Health Canada said that the contaminated product is highly problematic for those, who have already been suffering from cystic fibrosis.

The product can be returned from the places, it has been ought and the product should be dismantled right away, as the bacteria can cause severe problems. Health Canada said that people can talk to advisors at their official website.
