As per recent reports, it has been revealed that colleges are being urged to ban smoking in the campuses, including both open areas and closed areas.
However, the proposal has been opposed by a majority of the students, who find smoking as a way out to get relieve from the tense and traumatic environment of college.
Rather, a student of political science majors at Ohio State University, Ida Seitter, confronted that she completely depends upon cigarettes during her exams time, to relive her from the burden and pressure. She heavily smokes during that time, as she believes that no other thing can help her remain calm and out of stress.
Seitter, who is now 26-years-old, asserted that she is big enough to take her decisions and she is completely against those policymakers, who demand that smoking and use of tobacco should be banned in universities and colleges across the nation.
Seitter said, “Bans on use, advertising and sales of tobacco in all its forms are being enact or considered at perhaps half of campuses nationwide, sometimes over the objections of student smokers, staff and faculty”.
However, next month a voting system is planned by higher educational officials to ban smoking.
