As per recent reports, it has been suggested that new Larne food outlets, that were introduced in order to change the food hygienic conditions, have been able to deliver significant results and able to achieve the goal for what they had been set up.

It has been reported that Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) was formally rolled out this week in the area and it looked forward to spread awareness amongst people about food hygiene and also to acknowledge them more about hygienic standards of food restraints and outlets.

It has been recovered that the scheme has been introduced by Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the agency has been assisted by local authorities. The programme that has been launched across the nation will see to it that all the consumers are provided with proper information regarding all food outlets and restaurants.

Moreover, it has been administered that these places like pubs and takeaways are inspected by food inspectors after regular intervals, so as to acknowledge whether they are meeting the standards set by the government. Under this newly introduced scheme, all food outlets will be ranked and rated on a scale initiating from zero to five. Till date, 277 food businesses have been rated: 138 as very good and 71 as good.
