Lou Gehrig's Sufferers Condemn the Movie 'Ted'

A new report has uncovered that a punch line from the movie "Ted" is being largely criticized by viewers, particularly the sufferers of Lou Gehrig's disease.

As per the findings, the film released last weekend that earned some $54 million at the box office was otherwise good. But, the same has accidentally played with emotions of those people struggling since long to fight this appalling disease.

Lou Gehrig's disease is a condition that makes people unable to speak or move. Also, it becomes difficult for affected to even eat or breathe properly. The disease has no cure till date and the line "From one man to another, I hope you get Lou Gehrig's disease" used in the film was hurting for such people.

It is being said by sufferers like Randy Pipkin, who had been diagnosed in 2005, that the statement however made as a joke has crossed a limit. Though, MacFarlane has always been appreciated for his sense of humor.

Also, warnings have been come from the ALS Therapy Alliance’s Traci Bisson that the disease should not be considered as a laughing matter in future.

"I think the message this film sends out is a huge slap in the face to people dying from this horrific disease", said Randy.
