A new study has recently shown in its findings some hidden health benefits of strawberries, which are genuinely considered as the traditional summer treat fruit.

Findings are coming from the researchers of University of Warwick, who are confirming in their statements that eating more strawberries helps in serving the body with unexpected health benefits like prevention of any heart disease and diabetes.

Though scientists from Warwick are claiming above findings, they are still making some more studies upon strawberry’s cardiovascular benefits especially how the fruit helps in preventing the development of heart diseases and diabetes.

Mr. Paul Thornalley, professor at the Warwick Medical School, heads the team of scientists discovering the above facts. They noticed that strawberry extracts positively activate a protein called Nrf2 in human body, which further increases number of antioxidants and pampers the effect of protective activities.

Moreover, the triggered protein also lessens blood lipids and cholesterol levels that stand crucial in cardiovascular problems.

Previously several studies have shown that the fruit counters post-meal blood glucose levels, lessens the density lipoprotein and cholesterol, thereby reducing risks of diabetes and heart disease but the above findings have come from the scientists for the first time to support the fact that strawberry extracts actively stimulate proteins and protect the body against such big diseases.
