Recently, the Chief Minister and the Health Minister of Canberra was put under the fire on the charges of tempering with the figures. Ms. Gallagher was accused of having tempered with the figures of waiting list. An aggressive response towards the case also linked Ms. Gallagher’s sister to the charges.

The investigators have blamed that the Ms. Gallagher’s sister who works as a nurse in the Canberra Hospital has helped Ms. Gallagher in the folly. However, Ms. Gallagher has taken the charges quite seriously and has asked the authorities not to drag her sister in the charges. She has appealed in the defense of her sister saying that her family should be kept away from political issues.

Auditor-General did investigate the record of Ms. Gallagher’s sister and couldn’t find any link with the folly of Ms. Gallagher. Ms. Gallagher’s sister was reported saying, “At no time have I tried to hide the personal relationship a family member of mine had with the individual who admitted to data manipulation”.

She further informed that on 27th of April, she did inform the authorities about her relations with her sister working as nurse. She said that she has never hidden any information at the time of investigation.
