A team of rescuers has recently found that a baby whale in a complex condition has lost its life, a recent report reveals. The beluga whale was found in a dehydrated condition on June 18 by two fishermen in Alaska.

As per the findings, the report regarding the death of the whale was given by one of the Alaska SeaLife Center’s employees.

The beluga had got separated from its mother because of a windstorm that occurred off Alaska’s southwestern coast. It is being said that the incident had probably made it to become prone to infections.

While local flights were stuck by the center to airlift the frail calf after it was found by fishermen, the center was able to keep it safe and well only until Sunday midnight. However, the team of rescuers was surprised to notice the same.

It has been found that varied teams from Atlanta, Chicago and San Diego had come to Alaska for taking care of the calf. And all these had made all possible efforts, including feeding it around-the-clock, to save its life.

"There is more we will continue to learn about beluga whales as a result of this loss that will ultimately benefit beluga whales in the wild”, said the Seward center's CEO Tara Riemer Jones.
