CQC Inspection’s Results Call For Serious Attention

It seems that there is lot to be done before it can be said that all the care homes in Hemel Hempstead are meeting the set standards of care. It has been found during an investigation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) of 13 organisations that almost half of them have failed to meet the standards.

However, it is believed that nothing conclusive can be said about the overall care in the town from the evidences found. “We go into services for a variety of reasons – making any blanket statement about Hemel Hempstead would be very difficult”, said Spokesman Louise Grifferty. While there were failings in terms of staffing or management, but two care homes came under the scanner for standard of care.

However, Betty Harris, chairman of Dacorum Hospital Action Group, doesn’t think like this and claimed that this issue must be taken further so that it can be addressed within safe time. It was in last November that the inspection was done at The Lodge Care Home in Broad Street, where the dithering condition of care homes came out.

There is dire need to take serious consideration of the same before it becomes all the more serious for those living in care homes.
