A report has uncovered recently that the U. S. presidential polls are close to be held and since, the Indian-American astronaut Sunita Willams has already left for her another space trip. Her vote will be received from the International Space Station only.
The reason is that while the votes are to be held in November only, Williams would be returning back on somewhere around November 12 i. e. nearly a week later.
On Sunday, Williams accompanied with flight engineer Akihiko Hoshide from Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency had taken off from Baikonur cosmodromein Kazakhstan. Russian Soyuz commander Yuri Malenchenko, a team member, is also on the same Russian Soyuz rocket.
The announcement has been made by Williams herself, who says that she is fond of the London Olympics and would be watching that also from the space.
She has told that for voting, she would use NASA’s special programme 'Voting from Space'. “I'm actually a Florida voter, so we had to have a little bit more work involved and I will actually be voting from space”, said Williams.
However, for the Olympics, she has been planning to hold a relay race as well from the space. She hopes to see something different and exciting happening up there.
