Batman May Influence Kids To Eat Healthy

While no matter how much children are being directed to eat healthy food, they end up gorging on fast foods. A recent study has claimed that Superheroes such as Batman perhaps be able to do better than job than parents. It has been claimed by a team from Cornell University that in case such superheroes prompt children to eat healthy food, they might be able to convince the kids a lot better.

"Advising parents to ask their child, 'What would Batman eat?' might be a realistic step to take in what could be a healthier fast-food world”, said Brian Wansink, Cornell professor of marketing, director of the Cornell Food and Brand Lab, who was part of the research, in the journal Pediatric Obesity.

For the research, the team, including post-doctoral researcher Mitsuru Shimizu, and visiting graduate student Guido Camps of Utrecht University in the Netherlands, re3cruited some 22 children, ages 6 to 12, at a summer camp. While children are fascinated by superheroes, it would not be wrong to say that such characters can play key role in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

It would be worth seeing in case such characters would be some or the other way used to bring positive changes in the life of children.
