Undead Zombie Walk in Birmingham Goes Successful

Thousands of zombies were found marching at Birmingham streets last Saturday with an aim to raise funds for an eerie event held by a charity, a recent report has uncovered.

The event was held for the fourth time in the region since its start in the year 2009, as per the findings, which was organized this time to help and support patients at the Birmingham Children's Hospital, though the charity usually collects donations for several different noble causes.

“The idea of the Zombie Walk is for everyone to get dressed up as a Zombie, have fun and meet new people, all whilst raising money for the fantastic charity”, said the organizers.

Around 2,500 zombies had enrolled for the walk, which went long for an hour around the city, and all of them had paid £3 for the same voluntarily. However, the crowd to help raise funds for the charity was huge. But, it is being said that a record-breaking number of participants, i. e. 10,000, was seen last year in Mexico during a similar event.

The undead walk purposed to collect some £3,000 this year saw the participation of BBC the Apprentice star Nick Holzherr as well along with Kate Lawler, former Big Brother winner and singer Beverley Knight.
