FDA Approves 2 Drugs

As per reports, it has been revealed that the Food and Drug Administration has approved two drugs, among which one is for multiple myeloma and other is for breast cancer. Approval means that people, who have been suffering from advanced stages of both the diseases, will have more choices in terms of medicine.

It shall however, be noted that a patient suffering from multiple myeloma would only be able to take Kyprolis at the time when other two drugs have failed to show their effect. On the other hand, nothing of such sort has been said by Novartis, which has taken out its breast cancer medicine Afinitor.

Afinitor is majorily meant for women, who have been suffering from postmenopausal stage and also has hormone receptor-positive disease. Melody Cobleigh, who is the director of the breast cancer program with the Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, was of the view that the drug will help to treat a large number of segment.

The breast cancer pill is already in market as a remedy for kidney cancer and some other rare tumors. Experts are of the view that approval to act as breast cancer pill will surely bring a rise in its sales.
