Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to Provide Funding To Fight AIDS

During a recent International AIDS Conference, emphasis was laid over the use of scientific methods to fight AIDS. It has come to light that Bill Gates is planning to make more funds available to the scientists so that AIDS could be defeated scientifically.

During an interview, Bill Gates said, "Without much better tools it is not at all realistic to think you can end this epidemic. It's just not realistic". He said that a patient with AIDS definitely needs medication to treat it. However, he further said that scientific tools are also needed to make sure that AIDS is not transmitted to others. AIDS is transmitted to others through either sexual intercourse or by the use of infected needle.
