NASA’s Latest Photos Circled American Flags Still Planted on Moon’s Surface

It’s been almost four decades to the last visit of astronauts to the moon when they planted an American flag in moon’s soil.

To learn if the flags are still placed there on the moon’s surface, scientists clicked some recent images of the star and its surface from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC), which proved the scientists, believes and showed that the flags are still placed where they were planted.

From the analysis of the shadows that they examined on the moon’s surface, it was noted that all the flags are still lying on the same place where they were planted but only one of all the six flags left by American astronauts remain standing.

Every American moon landing was left behind by an American flag by the astronauts symbolizing their nation's scientific and engineering achievement in the space science.

First visit to the moon was made on July 20, 1969 with Apollo 11’s landing carrying Mr. Neil Armstrong. 'From the LROC images it is now certain that the American flags are still standing and casting shadows at all of the sites, except Apollo 11,' Mr. Mark Robinson, an investigator with the lunar satellite program, wrote on Friday.
