Scientists claim Alberta to be the Best Place for Dinosaur’s Fossils

In a recent US-led study, it has been found that areas with huge Rocky Mountains and high ocean levels can be considered as a common habitat for dinosaurs. Reason behind this is that 75 million years ago, when such geological forces combined together, they gave birth to a large number of isolated animal habitats in the region.

In western Canada, there are a number of places that are known as dinosaur riches. All of these appear as a scientific wonder and tourism attraction for residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan and B. C.

This research has been published in the latest issue of PLoS ONE, by the U. S.-based Public Library of Science. What it suggests is all about the rapid diversification of species among duck-billed and horned dinosaurs that took place about 75 million years ago, when these species took birth on our planet.

After 10 million years later, which means approximately 65 years million ago from today, they disappeared because of landscape changes, due to which, several disturbances in the ancient Sevier mountains of western North America took place.

There was a synchronized augment in the appearance of “infant” Rockies and of a great inland waterway. This resulted into a temporary division of the region into three large islands. Besides, countless distinctive ecosystems were also developed.
