On last Saturday, the researchers of NASA were able to capture the magnificent image of the Sun flares. The film of the Sun flares was captured by the NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). Through the SDO’s ultraviolet filters, the flares seemed pinkish and purplish.

On the same day, gigantic CME also thrust into space. It has been informed that if the CME hits the Earth then it can leave adverse impact. Collision of CME with the Earth can damaged satellite navigation, GPS communication and power grids.

However, the solar storm of Saturday wasn’t at all that dangerous. A website, Spaceweather. com wrote, “The cloud is not heading directly toward Earth, but it could deliver a glancing blow to our planet's magnetic field on August
7/8… High-latitude skywatchers should be alert for auroras on those dates”.

It has been informed that at present, the Sun is in its 11th year phase therefore, it will continue to emit solar fare into space. It is expected that in 2013, the solar activity will be at its peak. Researchers have been eyeing over the activities of the Sun so that any danger to the Earth could be measured timely.
