American Sci-fi author Harry Harrison Dies at 87

In the dawn of 15th August, one of the greatest legends passed away. American science fiction author Harry Harrison died at 87 at his home in South England. News was unveiled by his daughter Moira.

He has many such writings in his credit, which has given goose bumps to people of every generation. Not only this, he has also encouraged many directors to use his stories in the form of film idea.

Fellow author and friend of Harrison, Michael Carroll was of the view that though his death has left the world to lose one of the biggest gems, he had also left behind a fine collection of his written books. While giving an idea of Harrison’s authored books, Carroll was of the view that there would be more than hundred books of short stories and dozens of novels.

“Rest in peace, my friend. You touched the lives of millions with your exciting adventures, packed with unlikely but always hilarious and thrilling escapades and frequently rather dodgy”, said Michael Carroll, who is Irish sci-fi writer.

While sharing the thought process of Harrison, Tom Doherty, Harrison’s publisher, was of the view that Harrison always believed that science fiction was an important part of writing.
