There stands no truth in the claims supporting more of oral sex than the vaginal one among the teenagers in U. S., a new study has revealed.

Since some time, it was being spread like a rumor that lesser teenagers prefer vaginal sex because of fears of pregnancy and other sexually transmitted diseases but all those rumors vanished with the results of the latest federal study that was run to study the sexual behavior of young Americans and findings of which were released on Thursday.

Yes, the findings have countered the so-called widespread belief and cleared that both the oral sex activities and the vaginal ones have participation of two in every three young Americans.

The study was run by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Center for Vital Statistics. Although it does clear that the rates of both the practices have however dropped among the U. S. youth since a decade ago, the practices are still on at a higher note.

"Now we know that's not necessarily true," Ms. Monica Rodriguez, president and chief executive of the nonprofit group, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, told Reuters.

"Now we have some real data," she said with support of the evidences collected from the review of the new study that included 6,346 interviews that were conducted from 2007-2010.
