Researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. have found that Americans engaged in the work of relieving others from any kind of stresses are themselves facing one or more symptoms of the same, a recent report published in the Archives of Internal Medicine says.

Yes! Almost half of the whole population of doctors in America is some or the other day realizing to be exhausted. The findings are based on the data from American Medical Association that was looked upon by hematologist Dr. Tait Shanafelt and his colleagues.

As per the findings, three domains of burnout comprising feelings of cynicism, emotional exhaustion and low personal accomplishment sense, as often described by psychologists, were focused at. Of nearly 7,288 participant doctors who were given to fill a Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire, it was noted that 37.9% were the victims of emotional exhaustion.

MBI is a technique that helps in measuring burnout, the report finds in the mean time. It also showed that the other two conditions were being suffered by a little less count of doctors. "Our finding is concerning given the extensive literature linking burnout to medical errors and lower quality of care”, lead author Shanafelt thus said.
