A recent study published in the Journal of Neuroscience by researchers at the University of Toronto has been asserting that one can remember and recall the emotional events more easily and clearly as compared to any regular mundane incident.

"What's more, we found that how vividly we perceive something in the first place predicts how vividly we will remember it later on”, said lead researcher Rebecca Todd.

If you forget keys where you put the keys last time, then you need not to worry, as per the report. It is a common problem amidst one and all, since it is not a memory problem. Rather, it is the brain that has only been wired to arrest emotional and traumatic events only.

The findings are based on the study, in which participants were shown grainy photographs containing either violent scenes or erotica or emotionally neutral ones showing people on an escalator. It was found a week later that images had driven a clear initial reaction by them.

The team says that the reason may be that these kinds of affairs comprising a child birth or a first kiss or on the contrary, a break-up or a painful childhood moment, directly reach one’s heart. It is being hoped that the study further paves a way for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.
