Despite so much development in the countries of this world, there left are still a few places where women do not have an access to modern methods of contraception. Keeping this in mind, during the London Summit on Family Planning that was held in the month of July, Melinda Gates emphasized to take all those initiatives that would help in promoting maximum number of women to use affordable contraception for avoiding unwanted pregnancy and other associated problems.

By 2020, the committee aims in offering affordable contraception in some of the world's poorest countries.

It comes quite shocking to know that when in Australia almost three quarters of women use modern methods of contraceptives, in Papua New Guinea only one in five women has an access to it.

Papua New Guinea is a beautiful place with isolated Highlands. But the problem of using contraception in the area is rising with a fast pace. Four years ago, the concept was totally different. There used to be female condoms in the health centre of villages for free of cost. Those were ideal to catch the small fish!

By using those condoms, women were not only able to avoid unwanted pregnancy but those were good enough to prevent sexually transmissible infections also. But due to some misunderstandings, “a set of myths” and lack of information, the concept was brought to an end.
